Levisticum Officinale, also known as Common Lovage, is a leafy, perennial herb with dark green stalks and shiny leaves resemblant of celery with small yellow flowers that bloom in summer. Native to the Mediterranean, this herbaceous plant is part of the Parsley family. It has naturalized in many other locations and is now found throughout Europe, Asia, and North America.
